Here’s the start of my 2nd assignment: parkour! I did a parkour animation over a year ago, but there was definitely room for improvement. Hopefully, armed with new knowledge I can make up for it with this assignment. 😉 My main sources of video reference was the parkour chase scene at the beginning of Casino Royale and Damien Walters.
Once I get notes from my mentor on the blocking, I’ll move onto refining/splining. I can’t believe we’re already on week 6!
Love the first shot and the overall timing! The flip at the end looks tacked on … or rather, a roll would seem more appropriate? This is looking leaps beyond your old parkour anim O_O
LOL. It looks tacked on because…it was sorta an afterthought during my planning process. =_=;; My mentor suggested to add a flip somewhere, after he saw some parkour with flips after looking at the planning part of my assignment. I can see where he’s coming from because it’ll add more flashiness to his moves.
Hmmm…I don’t know how I feel about a roll just because there’s so much forward momentum as he comes down the slide. It might look like he didn’t make it off the slide safely, lol. I could always add a couple steps before he flips and add something for him to flip over, tho. I’ll probably Gchat with you about it later to pick your brain.
Thanks so much for checking it out, Sensei!
